Aja King, RMT
Growing up in the Okanagan Valley, Aja was always active and enjoying the outdoors. Her first experience with Massage Therapy came after an injury when she took a bad fall off a horse and has since helped her with many other injuries. This, along with wanting a career where she could help make a positive difference for people, her fascination with learning human anatomy and physiology, and her passion to help create lasting change is what made her want to become an RMT
Aja graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy and has since experienced working with a wide variety of people and conditions. This includes sports injuries, chronic pain, whiplash, headache, nerve compression and TMJ disorders. She primarily uses a blend of Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, muscle energy technique and neuromuscular therapy. As an RMT, Aja believes that proper assessment, patient education and homecare are important to creating a treatment plan that supports each individual in achieving their goals.
In her free time. Aja enjoys hiking, swimming, reading and enjoying all the adventure that the island has to offer.
