Monday

Yin Illuminated w Lindsay and Mary

Yin Illuminated with Lindsay Cawston, RMT and Mary Tuares RYT, BSc.  is a class that blends postures used to deeply and safely stretch the muscles and deep connective tissues throughout the body with an in depth explanation of what these postures each strive to achieve within its targeted group, what that should feel like, how your body adapts and how these stretches can be used to undo chronic tension patterns.  Questions are encouraged in this class and adjustments and homework are often given. This class is suitable for all levels and all conditions.

Sound with Sarah

This unique yoga class tunes into the incredible power of sound while engaging in physical movement, stretching, relaxing and breathing. Sarah combines her years of practice, her traditional yoga training, and her love of music and singing to form a beautiful  immersive practice. She encourages students to find what works for them, including variations and options of different intensity levels to make it suitable for all.

Tuesday

Therapeutic Yoga w Martina

Join Martina Forster, OT in addressing specific physical issues or injuries and learn strategies and yoga poses to remediate problem areas. The goal of these yoga classes is to provide you with do-able solutions, which will leave you with a clearer understanding of your body mechanics, problem areas and approaches for continued at home work.

Yoga props are all provided. Please dress comfortably and ready to move. This class is suitable for all levels, injuries and conditions. Please arrive early for an intake with Martina if this is your first class with us.

 

 

 

 

RESTore w Alicia B

Join Alicia Borenheim in uniting restorative yoga with Yoga Nidra.

Experience soothing breath work and supportive restorative postures while hot stones are placed throughout key areas of the body to promote relaxation and to create a practice that will nourish all systems of your body. Ease your mind and connect with your heart.

Everyone is welcome to this class, come dressed warmly and ready to be RESTored.

Somatic Yoga w Carolyn

Join Carolyn Pigott, RMT to be introduced to fundamental movements that reconnect your brain to your muscles. Through the practice of deep breathing techniques and mindful awareness you will discover areas of your body that are stuck in something called sensory motor amnesia, a chronically tight state in the muscles.You will be gently guided to unlock these patterns and feel a renewed sense of ease and comfort in these muscles. Your mind and body will relax and you will walk out feeling a renewed vitality to take on your life once again!

This class is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Yoga for Athletic Injuries w Mitch

Yoga is increasingly being used worldwide to help athletes achieve maximum performance and better conditioning as well as minimizing sports-related injuries. 

Aside from improving muscle strength and flexibility, join Mitch to help to rehabilitate current athletic injuries while educating and conditioning your body to help prevent injury in the future.

Yoga for Chronic Pain w Lena

Join Lena Watt, RYT in a therapeutic yoga class for people who have been injured or suffer from chronic pain.  We will work together to tap into our parasympathetic nervous system and develop a deeper understanding of pain and sensation in the body through different interoceptive, breathing and movement practices.  This class moves through a variety of different asana postures to help improve range of motion, flexibility, balance, strength and functional movement.

This class is suitable for all levels, injuries and conditions.

 

Yoga for Stress Management and Recovery w Tamara


Everyone experiences stress. Stress comes from many different sources throughout your life and you have either been cultivating tools that help you manage and heal from spikes in stress or you have been cultivating tools and habits that hinder you. We are at a unique time where we are bombarded with media most of the time, this contributes to the worsening of your symptoms of stress.
Stress affects your communication, puts pressure on your mind so it can’t function smoothly, affects your capacity for meaningful relationships and causes a multitude of emotional symptoms that our culture is normalizing. The symptoms of stress may be common, but they are not normal.
This class will educate you on the physical, emotional and mental symptoms of stress and teach you essential skills for recovery. Yoga for stress will help you stay calm under pressure, manage your stress and the distressing emotions that accompany it, build your inner strength and thrive in difficult situations. You will learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of stress in yourself, release tension, enhance your inner vitality and rid your body and mind of the effects of stress through yoga and meditation

This dynamic class is for the true yoga junkie! Join Mitchell Gelz in a class to challenge our bodies, flow and have fun in this dynamic and power packed, one hour class that is meant to keep you moving. This is the perfect way to end your week!

Pre Natal Yoga w Tamara

In each class you will be led through meditations focused around pregnancy and birth as well as led through breathing techniques.  

All classes are sequenced with postures and flows that were created with the pregnant body in mind.  Postures that relieve tension in common pregnancy tight spots and postures that strengthen the body in preparation for delivery and motherhood. It's a prenatal yoga class sequenced for the pregnant body with meditations for connection to the unborn baby and a community gathering of women on a similar path.
